The Zambales Mountain Range: From March 4, 1945 to May 6, 1945, Lieutenant Wilson rendered outstanding service as the leader of numerous combat foot patrols operating through the Luzon Campaign. His tactical guidance secured the vital west flank of the Corps.
Luzon Victory: Facing deeply entrenched enemy forces, Wilson's patrols encountered approximately 300 enemy combatants, successfully neutralizing or capturing half of them while sustaining only light casualties under his aggressive leadership.
Legacy: Initially joining active duty via the Bartow National Guard in November 1940, Wilson went overseas to serve heroically across Leyte and Northern Luzon, preserving the combat bonds forged in the desperate defense of the Pacific.
